Reuters, Al Jazeera, Sky News , CNN , Bloomberg , Economist and all other international networks are covering the long march of PTI. But for PTV & other Pakistani channels there is a complete blackout. What credibility is left of our channels
PPP’s version of “democracy” is perhaps the greatest political irony of our time. They love to present themselves as enlightened, progressive, liberal and democratic but only in speeches, seminars and books. In practice, look at what Faisal Kundi is doing today and look at Bilawal Zardari’s role in the 26th and 27th Amendments. When the choice is between democratic principles and the preservation of power, the principles conveniently disappear and brute force takes their place. Their liberalism is for the podium, their progressivism for the press release and their democracy for as long as it serves them. In reality, the PPP has perfected the art of preaching democracy while repeatedly standing on the wrong side of it
A new pretext for keeping Imaan & Hadi illegally incarcerated - that the IO concerned has gone to GB & taken Imaan & Hadi case record with him! This is a new low even for this govt @CMShehbaz u get speedy justice 4 ur daughter & son in law against alleged graft cases, while using delaying tactics to deny justice to my daughter & son in law. Shameful!
If one examines the demands put forward by the federal government, it becomes clear that they wanted to exercise, without formally imposing an emergency or Governor’s Rule in kpk, powers that would effectively strip the elected provincial government of its authority and render it powerless. These are precisely the kinds of powers that arise under Articles 232 and 234 when constitutional emergency provisions are invoked. It results in suspension of fundamental rights. In other words, they wanted to achieve indirectly what the Constitution requires them to do directly
PRESS RELEASE
PTI Responds to Inconclusive Negotiations and Federal Ministers’ Press Conference
Party Says Denial of Access to Chairman Imran Khan Remained Central Impediment; Calls for Consensus Based Counterterrorism Strategy and Immediate Attention to Khan’s Medical Care
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expressed regret that negotiations between the joint team of PTI and Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) and government representatives concluded without substantive progress, despite serious efforts to address political stability, restoration of democracy, supremacy of the Constitution and law, access to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, his health and medical treatment, and the worsening security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of the country.
PTI said the principal point of deadlock was its demand for immediate access to Chairman Imran Khan so that the party leadership could consult him on matters of national and political importance. In an effort to facilitate progress, the negotiating team conveyed that other demands could be set aside if the government agreed to this single request. However, according to PTI, the government declined to make access to Imran Khan part of the proposed agreement.
The party maintained that consultation with political leadership is an essential part of the democratic process. Just as leaders of other political parties remain central to their parties’ policy and decision-making, PTI must also be able to consult its Chairman on major political and national issues. Restricting such consultation, particularly during a critical period for the country, inevitably limits the scope for meaningful political engagement.
Security and Terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
PTI said the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was another major issue discussed during the negotiations. The government side sought the provincial government’s unconditional support for counterterrorism measures and operations undertaken by the federation and its relevant authorities, as well as support for emergency measures within 72 hours in the merged districts and adjoining areas.
PTI reiterated its unequivocal condemnation of terrorism and stressed that eliminating terrorism, protecting citizens and restoring lasting peace must remain a national priority. The party paid tribute to the officers and personnel of the Pakistan Armed Forces, police, security forces and other law-enforcement agencies who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism, while expressing solidarity with civilians and families who have suffered from terrorist violence.
The party emphasised that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have paid an extraordinary price over the years through loss of life, destruction of property and businesses, prolonged insecurity and displacement from their homes. Their concerns and experiences must therefore remain central to any future counterterrorism policy.
PTI maintained that terrorism cannot be defeated through force alone or through unilateral measures that could expose innocent civilians to further loss of life, property or displacement. Past experience must inform future policy, and any effective strategy must combine firm action against terrorism with protection of civilian populations and sensitivity to local realities.
Accordingly, PTI proposed that authorised representatives of the federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments meet within 72 hours to develop a clear, comprehensive and mutually agreed strategy for peace and counterterrorism. The party further proposed consultation with political parties represented in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, elected representatives, tribal elders and other relevant stakeholders so that any policy enjoys public confidence and can be implemented effectively.
Journalism in Pakistan has been reduced to WhatsApp forwarding. Journalists have become postmen, delivering the version approved by the state and the powerful without questioning power, violations of fundamental rights, the Constitution or basic democratic ideals. The only competition left is who can be the most obedient messenger. This is not yellow journalism. It is journalism with its spine removed and a brown envelope in hand
The Federal Government blames the KP Government for failing to cooperate in rooting out terrorism, while, ironically, the very federal law-enforcement machinery is accused of abducting sitting KP ministers in coordination with the KP police. The elected KP government has effectively been stripped of its authority and its powers have been undermined, yet the same government is then blamed for not doing enough to combat terrorism. You take away their power, target their elected representatives and then blame them for failing to exercise the power you have taken away isn’t that the ultimate paradox?
This is completely false and a gross misrepresentation of the KP Government’s position. The KP Government has a clear democratic mandate and the people of KP have placed their trust in it. You, as a representative of an illegitimate
regime are attempting to encroach upon provincial autonomy and impose from Islamabad and Pindi a failed and myopic security policy. This state policy has repeatedly ignored the ground realities and aspirations of the people while failing to address the root causes of terrorism. It has not only failed to eliminate terrorism but has deepened alienation and increased hatred towards the state and its institutions. Balochistan has reached the same alarming stage for precisely the same reason: treating symptoms through a centralized security response instead of confronting the political, social and economic root causes. KP cannot be subjected to the same failed experiment. You are not offering a solution to KP’s crisis; you are representing the very policy that helped create it
🇵🇰 13 DAYS SINCE the detention of IMRAN KHAN'S THREE SISTERS, their family still hasn’t been allowed to see them!!
Aleema Khan, 68, Dr Uzma Khan, 66, and Noreen Niazi, 72, were detained for 30 days under Pakistan’s Maintenance of Public Order law ahead of PTI’s planned MARCH.
Now Aleema’s son Shershah says the family has gone through the courts, the Home Secretary and the Deputy Commissioner without gaining access to the women or being able to independently confirm their wellbeing.
The state says these are lawful preventive detentions. The family is now going back to the Lahore High Court simply asking to see the detainees and their lawyers.
Whatever the political justification offered for detaining them, there is a much simpler issue here.
Their children want to see their mothers.
They want to know they are safe.

Government is claiming highest foreign exchange reserves in our history. Let’s see the breakup :
Total reserves: 21.4 billion dollars
- loan from China : 8.2 billion
- loan from S.Arabia : 8 billion
- loan from Kuwait : 250 million
- bought from open market: 15 billion
Total : 31.5 billion dollars
Shows Pakistan government has earned nothing. In fact is minus 10 billion dollars.
Taking deposits / loans is not your money.
🇶🇦🇺🇸 Piers Morgan put a pretty big accusation directly to Qatar’s PM.
'Are those billions flowing to American universities actually buying influence?'
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani says no.
He says roughly 95% of the money goes toward American universities operating their own campuses in Qatar, including Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon and Weill Cornell, not influencing curricula or professors back in the U.S.
That’s some pretty important context when you keep hearing “Qatar gave U.S. universities billions.”

All of the idiots egging on the powerful people to go ahead and dislodge KP govt are the same kind of idiots who pushed Musharraf into Lal Masjid, Bugti Killing and Ch Iftikhar fiasco.
IMF MD has exposed the government saying the only thing IMF wants from the government is to collect more taxes from the wealthy (meaning ruling elite) and take care of the poor.
It’s a fair demand but our ruling elite wouldn’t ever follow this.
I’m not sure why the regime believes imposing Governor’s Rule or an emergency in KP is a threat. A threat to whom? To the man who has sacrificed everything for his country and sits in jail? Or to the people of KP, who have rejected them at the ballot box in three consecutive elections, even under the most brutal of conditions?
If Governor’s Rule is imposed, what’s the next threat? Wiping people out entirely? Where does it end?
You will only be making us more free.
SBP purchased $15.8 billion in two years
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased its net foreign exchange purchases from the interbank market by 5.5% to $8.104 billion in FY26, compared with $7.684 billion in the preceding fiscal year, according to data released by the central bank.

I was in the meeting when this idea of bringing them back was strongly opposed by all our MNAs from KP esp Murad Saeed & Nurul Haq Qadri plus many of us also. PM IK told the mly ldrs present to sit & talk to the elected reps from the affected area before taking any decision to “resettle” TTP! So absolutely no decision was taken to resettle them by PTI govt.
“The Cabinet Division told the meeting that in compliance with the directive, 15 BMW 760i xDrive (VR9) bulletproof sedans, costing Rs3 billion, may be procured in addition to the 30 bulletproof Mercedes Benz Maybach S680 Guard (VR10) sedans, for which the ECC had already approved a supplementary grant of Rs6.60 billion.”

1) After Federal National Action Plan only KP has Provincial Action plan. And Chief Minister never heads the National Action plan. Atta Tarar need some basic education
2) KP budget on security this year is 10% of budget by far the highest among any provincial government
3) KP increased the security budget from mere 65 billion to 190 billion in 3 years
Before sitting on national media Information Minister needs to get his facts right
