@TansuYegen Gives students useful practice. The way you have to turn while parallel parking feels counterintuitive, so this might give students confidence in the real car.
๐จ Letโs talk edges! In this clip, Iโm showing how mixing hard and soft edges can totally change the vibe of your painting. Itโs a simple technique that makes such a difference! The crisp lines grab attention, while those blurry, soft transitions keep it relaxed and moody.
๐ Shoutout to our talented @ua_highschool student artists! ๐

Some things I say as an art teacher:
What you do and what you create matters.
Your vision is uniquely YOURS. And itโs beautiful.
When you create something from your heart, everyone who sees it gets to experience a bit of you. What a gift you give when you create art.
@clhubes I read this book when my son was 3. I was at a loss. It gave me a whole new perspective & scripts to handle his strong will. It helps keep your relationship strong & trusting.

@MarcusLuther6 Yes! I assign seats in my art room because I want students' decisions to be about art. So many issues with fitting in with friends and/or feeling left out when they choose seats.
@rlehmanED@GiftedTawk I traditionally taught sewing in 3rd grade, but I have decided 4th grade is more developmentally appropriate because of how many kids cry in 3rd grade due to frustration with threading the needle and overhand knots.
@PrincipalBert@FixingEducation Holding students accountable is helping them. It also teaches empathy. Like, until a child has some sort of natural consequence, they don't realize that their actions are negatively affecting those around them.
@theDRAMAgoat1 This book provides scripts & tips on how to provide neutral choices & calm when a child is overwhelmed and reacts by needing to be in control. Build trust.
