My first EVER coloured pencil portrait is finished!🎉
It’s not perfect, but for a first attempt I am extremely happy with it, and I feel like I’ve learnt so much from the experience too.

PROGRESS: WORLD CUP WINNER MEG JONES✨
Although it’s not going EXACTLY how I would like, for a first attempt at a coloured pencil portrait, I’m kind of happy with it so far…
I’m hoping that the eyes will really pull it together in the end, fingers crossed😬🏻

The final exercise for my 2nd assignment is finished, and I’m excited to be handing it in!🎉
Most of my portraits are head and shoulders, so having more of the body and background was a challenge, but I’ve learnt a lot from the process!
Another “Alex At Home” progress update!✏️
I’d say I’m almost half way now, and I’m actually very happy with the way it’s going! I just hope I don’t mess it up in the 2nd half🫣

A little progress update on “Alex at Home”; Although I’ve only added the detail to Alex’s head, I can already feel it coming together.
Usually with my portraits, the head is the main focus, so trying to get the detail into a smaller head was a challenge, but one I enjoyed!
My final exercise for my 2nd assignment is a 3/4 monochrome drawing of a seated figure.
All gridded up and sketched out, now time to get into it properly. I am super excited about this one! This drawing will be titled “Alex at home”❤️

I’ve really enjoyed working on this page of striped and patterned fabrics on clothing, and the way that the movement of the body impacts them for my course!
The tartan trousers were a pain in the arse though😂

For my course, I’m currently working on a study page on the way the movement of the body impacts patterned fabric on clothing.
I’m having fun exploring different fabric textures too!
