It's not much the increased rates as it is the lack of trucks. I don't mind paying a carrier at a loss so the load is delivered on time, that's part of it. What I hate the most is the late fee at a cold storage because of it. This is the hidden cost not many people see. You know damn well this fee is not justified. It's just bonus money for the cold storage. They rake in millions of dollars every year like this and it make me sick.

100% I like it when carriers make more money, I make more. When its a race to the bottom we all suffer. What im seeing that is problematic is since the trucks have thinned so much, if a carrier falls out I'm not able to get another one secured before the appointment time and wind up have to pay a fking cold storage a late fee or rescheduling fee of $160 to $400 damn dollars. Carrier dont see that shit. Most of them just think we sit on our ass and rake in 4 or 5k a week. Although I do sit on my ass and rake in 4 to 5k a week, thats beside the point. The point is I loose money in some form or fashion daily.
