🚨 NEW: The leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland say the future of their nations "belongs in the European Union" as they call for independence from the UK
The energy crisis is about to get even worse. The best thing corporations and employers can do for their employees now is let workers work from home. This isn’t complicated.
Get ready. The show is about to begin.
-Costco is rationing motor oil sales;
-Diesel is insanely expensive;
-Shipping costs are going parabolic;
-Sovereign debt levels are broken;
-Food inflation is catastrophic.
We are entering the end game now.
BREAKING: Repairs to Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline will take far longer than a month due to a lack of spare parts, with the pumping infrastructure catastrophically damaged and at least 8 locations on the pipe hit, per initial reports citing sources inside Saudi Arabia.
That leaves Saudi Arabia set to run out of crude oil stocks for export within five to seven days, taking around 4 million barrels per day, ~4% of global supply, off the market, per three industry sources to Reuters.
Some repaired points were struck again, using up the spares and undoing the work. Yanbu has about a week of stocks left on the kingdom's only export route that does not pass through Hormuz.
Buckle up for the week of the year.
9 days ago, President Trump threatened to "stop trading" with all countries that the US has a trade deficit with if the Fed does not CUT rates.
On Wednesday, the Fed will release their September interest rate decision.
Currently, markets believe the Fed will HIKE rates on Wednesday.
In other words, the market now expects Fed Chair Warsh to make the exact opposite policy decision that President Trump wants, just 3 months after he was appointed.
If the market is correct and President Trump follows through on his threat, global trade is about to take a major turn.
This move would effectively cut off trade with ~50% of all US trading partners, including Mexico, China, Taiwan, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and India.

Good morning.
This week’s Federal Reserve policy meeting may well be the trickiest in years.
Ironically, it’s less about what’s happening in the economy and more about a sudden shift in rate-hike expectations, driven by thre surge in yields ... that has less to do with the Fed and more to do with the growing ex-ante imbalance between demand for bond financing and its supply.

Hiking into a CPI inflation figure driven almost entirely by energy due to an external factor is ridiculous.
Engineering a private sector recession and having no impact on gas or diesel prices.
