this is such childish socialist garbage, the idea that anything other than being presented unconditionally with all the greatest things in life from day 1 is deeply unfair to you and cause for complaint.

we are not yet in a post scarcity civilization. until then, a large number of people do in fact need to keep working. we’ve come up with an extremely sophisticated system (took us over 10,000 years!) that incredibly gets the most work done while also giving individuals unprecedented freedom to choose what they do and where they live. it’s quite literally the best system to ever have existed by any metric. it’s not perfect, but it’s also not a scam just because it requires you to actually do something useful with your life instead of just rotting on the couch.
