The NSTF-South32 Awards, also known as the #ScienceOscars of SA, are set to take place on 31 July 2025. The awards serve as a platform to recognise the exceptional contributions made by individuals, teams and organisations in #STEMI. This year’s theme, ‘Quantum Science and Technology’ is in alignment with the United Nations (UN) proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.
Join us as we celebrate #TeamCSIR finalist: Senior Researcher, Dr Bathabile Ramalapa, in the TW Kambule-NSTF Award: Emerging Researcher category.

A real-life genius story coming out of South Africa. 🇿🇦🎓
Meet Hazel Ntuli, who just made history as one of the youngest graduates at the University of Pretoria, completing a degree in Actuarial Science at only 17 years old! 🎓
So all of this was waiting for our generation to become adults...the COVID lockdown, the climate change and floods, the war that brings on high fuel prices, the unaffordable property prices, food is so expensive, now they've brought Hantavirus to South Africa

Don't decenter your university qualifications. You paid so much money to earn those. Center them and use them to make a living. Start a company, do freelancing, do consulting. Most people don't know what you know. Those will make millions for you!
