Anthony Kim won LIV Golf Adelaide on Sunday for his first victory in nearly 16 years.
The 40-year-old American stepped away from competitive golf for 12 years. He needed to play a qualifying tournament last month just to get another season on the LIV Tour. https://t.co/n8GQPReKWP
Feel for all the sports reporters out of work. I was a journalism major in college, started my "career" wanting to be a NBA beat reporter. Loved and still love actual newspapers.
Putting this out there: If you start a site that investigates and answers the questions people with actual money on the line want to know, we will pay you actual money.
In other words, no one cares about "3 keys to Sunday's game" or that "X player is in the best shape of his life."
But a ton of people are willing to pay for "In practice this week, Rhamondre rotated more with TreVeyon than he did ahead of the AFCCG." Or "Elijah Arroyo again was behind Saubert and Kallerup in TE drills this week." (no idea if these are true, just examples)
Maybe it's a dumb idea, maybe it's not possible, maybe I'm alone in willing to pay a lot for this.
But if looking for a financial model that works in sports journalism, I'd be looking to serve the people with financial incentives.
I will die on a hill that what Steph accomplished in his career is more IMPRESSIVE than Bron and KD.
Curry is guarded like this nightly and has no physical advantages. Dude has a below average build for a NBA guy.
Bron is a superhuman 6โ9โ 250 built like a tight end but moves like a nimble guard. He has a physical advantage and outmuscles the defense 95% of the time.
KD at 7 feet has a height advantage on 95% of the defense and can just shoot over everyone.
