I know baseball is not the most popular sport right now, but in this awful year, 2020, we have so far lost Joe Morgan, Al Kaline, Lou Brock, Whitey Ford, Bob Gibson and Tom Seaver.
Six of the greatest, all of whom I had the privilege of rooting for or against. So many memories!

The very predictable end of the baseball season is close at hand. Most likely the same thing will happen in football. Was there no way to simulate a bubble atmosphere in these two sports, like basketball and hockey???

Sorry to see that Steve Bulpett, after 35 years covering the Celts, is part of another round of cuts by the Herald. Enjoyed his coverage of the Celts, seeing him at the games in press row, and he’s a reminder of so many great Bird, Pierce and Garnett teams.

The Pats trade down and hopefully this brings them TE Kmet in round 2, and in round 3 QB Jalen Hurt, and then 3 of the following: TE Hunter Bryant, Safety Jeremy Chinn, LB Davis-Gauthier, WR Laviska Shenault, or DE Darrell Taylor.
In later rounds a kicker and a backup center!

Going to be really hard to watch Brady connecting with Gronk in Tampa next year - still wish that they had both retired in one or two years as lifelong Patriots. Sports and getting so invested in the home team and it’s players can at times come back and just kick you in the ass!

Really looking forward to next Sunday night’s next 2 episodes. I’ll still have my Celtics hat on, but I’ll admittedly be more open to the excellence of the Jordan era (but still wonder if Len Bias might have changed some of that history)! Go Celts!

As an avid Celts fan, someone who disliked the Jordan era because of his and Chicago’s dominance, I was unprepared last night for the significance of the first 2 episodes of the Jordan doc. Extremely well researched, poignant, at times humorous and always riveting look at MJ!
