In the early 2010s, Wright lodged a rebate for the tax on $11.5m worth of microfinance and accounting software from banking giant Al Baraka Group, allegedly bought by Denariuz.
This is jus one of a number of outlandish fraudulent tax claims Wright tried to push through the ATO's refund schemes, totalling almost $20 million.

Wright claims that Ira Kleiman, the ATO and others worked together to get Denariuz shut down. In truth, the company never did anything and Wright's 2015 bailout deal saw all the IP sold to nCrypt Holdings. The empty company was closed down by Robert MacGregor.
