@DrHWazir I hate to say it, but no over control of doctors wearing watches, or wiping stereoscopes will change the fact that most visitors to wards don’t even wash their hands on the way in… we have to be realistic about infection control and not let it be used as a power trip!

@doctimcook I’ve never agreed more with an article. We are in a unique position as doctors and our introductions should echo that. “Hi I’m Bob” suggests the doctor as a friend rather than a doctor - and as doctors we do things to people we certainly wouldn’t want to do to our friends!

Bank holiday weekend has coincided with the first hot weekend of the year, so in peak NHS all the radiators are on full blast and can’t be turned off. Parts of the hospital are so hot we’ve had to close them. Absolutely classic.
