When my daughter went away to college in 2021, she was going to become a respiratory therapist in one of the best programs in the country.

She had NEVER been so excited. We all were. She saw how important RT’s were in the care of my mom, & that’s what her career was going to be.

The vaccine issue was fine initially for school ; she had her childhood vaccinations, (before I knew the dangers.) One month into her freshman year, they were told they’d need flu and Covid shots. Non-negotiable, for clinicals. Hospital rules, not the university’s rules.
That was never going to happen. (Her decision completely.)
So she regrouped. She was devastated, (because that was her DREAM) but she changed course.
To all of the MD’s, nurses, RT’s , paramedics, etc. who walked AWAY from established careers because you said no, you are the heroes in so many ways in this twisted narrative .

In the early 1990s, Brazilian photojournalist Sebastião Ribeiro Salgado was stationed in Rwanda to cover the genocide, an experience that left him traumatized.

Their efforts resulted in the rejuvenation of 1,500 acres of rainforest, and the site eventually became home to 293 plant species, 172 bird species, and 33 animal species, some of which were on the brink of extinction.
