At the same time I've encountered some of the finest people I've ever met in both those settings. Even out here in Calgary I have always seen hockey players as a pretty diverse group in terms of both race and gender. No generalization that broad will ever be correct.

@jessieraeallen. I'm both a rec hockey player and a chef and I can tell you that after spending ten years doing both I have met much bigger bullies in the world of fine dining kitchens than at the hockey rink.
