When I say “public-facing” sociology, this is partly what I mean. In addition to engaging with folks about her ‘Yellowstone’ discussion, @tressiemcphd also offers a lot of sociological insight in very incisive doses. 10/10 would recommend.
This piece by Dr. McMillan Cottom is a great example of how sociology can provide the tools for trenchant analysis even of seemingly benign stuff like “Yellowstone.” I highly recommend following her for an example of excellent, public-facing sociology! And a cute dog.
