Lord,
I worry because I forget your wisdom.

All the stories of the Bible are the same story, all metaphors an entanglement of the same metaphor. When you touch the web of the Story at any point, the whole Net shudders and the Spirit speaks.
I broke down at wept during this moment (among others) of Eugene Peterson’s funeral yesterday. I have parents who have whispered this message in my heart, and I hope to be one who whispers it to the hearts of others.

Worship is assigning value to someone or something to the point that it distracts you from everything/everyone else. I need to watch who/what I value most!

Do not assume God is watching from a distance. Avoid the quicksand that bears the marker "God has left you!" Do not indulge this lie. If you do, your problem will be amplified by a sense of loneliness. Choose instead to be the person who clutches the presence of God w/ both hands
