@benfowlkesMMA Great column. I’m a clinical psychologist and Zen Buddhist priest. I’ve worked in pediatric and adult end of life care for decades. The martial arts got me into Zen and meditation, and I find mma to be great self care and stress reduction from the complexity of the work I do.

@itsolelehmann AGI may or may not be here now, a lot of this feels like hyperbole, but I can definitely say there are many forms of psychotherapy that are empirically supported, such as ACT, EMDR, DBT etc. Marc Andreessen doesn’t know what he’s talking about in this regard.
