@__AnnaBear__@ibdgirl76 My intent was that the 1st doc was trying to help w/pain, but the 2nd one w/60MME limit doesn't care
My experience @ really high doses, the side effects can be overwhelming.
I'd ask if someone is at 450~ or so, Are you still in a lot of pain? If yes, then ⬆️ dose aint gonna help
@MdParangi@ibdgirl76 #1. 88 yrs old: Her "pain doc" should lose his/her med license. Unconscionable, or just incompetent.
#2. What choice? Take pain meds as prescribed & hurt all the time...or take more as needed & run out early & get labeled OUD?
* Too many docs unqualified to prescribe pain meds
@jasonhickel "capitalism produces...the wrong stuff..."
More wrong stuff:
Political leaders & a judiciary that is bought & paid for by the 1%.
It's an cultural problem: too many people believing that the end (winning) justifies the means. (like kid sports, abt winnning not sportsmanship)
@ZoeSchiffer Wonder how many are on Work Visas?
Incredible leverage & "opportunity" by Twitter/musk to push them to the wall or they face deportation.
Sounds like a grate(sic) place to work ☹️
@paxbinky@CMerandi My opinion/experience exactly.
Have tried all the crazy drugs/DMARDS, mind games, procedures & overly-expensive infusions of biologics.
The ONLY thing that helps with the pain is opiates.
Never an issue until my doc of >20yrs retired. New docs treat a file, not the patient
@elonmusk@KimDotcom@BillFOXLA@FoxNews Thank the GOP & Ronald Reagan...they passed Immigration Amnesty back in 1986. It was like a magnet.

@jdbatts79 @HaysKali Elon's pitch to HR:
"Everyone else who stays on only has to work 200% more..but since I've fired 70% of the workers, HR will need to work 700% more. Since I'm a genius I'm proclaiming there's now 72 hours in a day. - Problem solved. btw, no raises cause this is costing me a ton"
@TitterTakeover Elon's pitch to stay on: "We got rid of 70% of the employees so YOU need to step it up and do 235% more work...as an incentive, we're bringing back FREE coffee & Red Bull. (limit 10/each employee/20hr shift)
@PainNewsNetwork It's physical torture, with an added helping of psychological torture, 'cause we know it could be so easily avoided.
Taking active, stable patients off doses of pain meds for political reasons, not medical reasons, should be criminal. - How can anyone trust a physician? I don't
@quinky_dink I looked into it after reading 1 patient's successful outcome, but hers was a single, very specific lesion. Mine are too numerous.
U should research scar tissue probs afterward. Neuropathy is a funny thing, burning a lesion may not solve the prob. Nerve damage may already be done
@EricFrohnhoefer If this was your official "notice" then all I can say is, "Elon, a class act. All LOW class."
Great way to advertise to future employees how they can expect to be treated.
@DEADLINE We also had The Amazing Randy for a Halloween event. I tried & tried to get the uni to allow me a crane in the middle of campus to hoist Randy, upside down in a straight jacket to escape from. Actually the magician's request. - ASU would not hear of it.
Randy was still a delight
@DEADLINE I was on student committee that brought performers to our uni in the 70's. - We paid to have Shatner at ASU. He was so full of himself w/his really weird (non-star-trek) performance and hated, hated it if anyone brought up Star Trek...which was only reason he was there. Awful
@ibdgirl76@ronchapman @jenndoliva @maiasz@StefanKertesz "Throw them into withdrawal. That'll teach 'em!"
I just love ☹️ how some doctors get off pretending they're law enforcement instead of healthcare providers.
> No, I don't use, but can still empathize. Some #CPP's get benefit from pot. I just get the munchies🍕
@travisheying This is what Voter Suppression looks like in Kansas.
When majority political party is deathly afraid of the "will of the people," this is what they do... Make it time-consuming, inconvenient & costly to vote (taking time off work to vote)
It should be criminal...and probably is
