he Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has issued a boil order for Fairview in Major County due to risk of E. coli in the drinking water Sunday, June 28.
DEQ is requiring residents from Fairview to consume and use water only if it has been brought to a full, rolling boil for at least one minute.
Officials say bottled water or water from another acceptable source can also be used for things like food preparation, dishwashing and brushing teeth.
Fairview residents will be notified when the water is considered safe for human consumption according to DEQ authorities.
