My father Davinder Singh was brutally assaulted on 20 August 2026 and is still fighting for his life at Deep Hospital, Ludhiana (ICU 2, Bed 4). He has not regained consciousness.

FIR No. 0227/2026 has been registered, naming the accused, yet he has still not been arrested and is reportedly moving freely.

We also have serious concerns about the investigation. We have reason to apprehend that the accused may have local connections/influence, and that this may be affecting the way the case is being investigated. Despite the seriousness of my father's condition, we are not receiving the response or action we expect from the local police.

On one side, my father lies unconscious in the ICU; on the other, the accused remains free. My senior-citizen mother and our family also fear for our safety.

I urgently appeal to @BhagwantMann, @PunjabPoliceInd and @CP_Ludhiana for senior-level/independent supervision of the investigation, immediate lawful action against the accused, preservation of all evidence, and protection for my family.

We are not asking for anything beyond justice and protection under the law.

Please help us get justice for my father.

I am also sharing photos of my father to show the seriousness of his condition and the devastating impact this assault has had on our family.

I can provide the FIR, hospital/ICU records, medical reports, bills, newspaper reports and other relevant evidence to the authorities.

I request everyone to please help amplify this and bring our situation to the attention of senior authorities. We only want a fair investigation, lawful action against those responsible, and safety for our family.
