I keep hearing people talk about civil war like it’s weather coming over the ridge. “Burn it down! Let the whole thing break! Start again in the ashes!”

Reckless words from folks who still have a ballot sitting on the table.

Before you speak of rifles, use the piece of paper men once crossed oceans and battlefields to earn. If you curse the Republic as dead, make damn sure you showed up while it was still breathing.

There’s nothing martial or noble about surrendering early.

A warrior doesn’t abandon the wall because the night is long. He holds until holding is impossible. He also spends every round before drawing the blade. And exhausts every lawful avenue because once blood answers politics, nobody controls what comes next.

Honor demands you MUST vote. Not because voting is sacred. Because war is.

If the darkest hour comes, let your conscience be clean enough to say you held the line until the line itself was gone.

War is the last argument of a people who have already spent every other word.

And that should horrify us all.

I do find it odd that people who can’t even be bothered to vote seem to think they’d be bothered to fight to the death.

Direct your hate accordingly if you must but remember who the real traitor is in a civil war: whoever you’re shooting at.

The Belgians arrested and tried him for sedition, treason, and the civil charge of heresy at the behest of Protestant Henry VIII, who suppressed all of his writings after his death. Henry had wanted him sent back to England, but the Catholic Duke of Brabant didn't believe that Tyndale could possibly receive a fair trial there, so he was tried in a Catholic court, but under civil authority. The Church's only involvement was to send an inquisitor to serve as Tyndale's defense.

The Catholic inquisitor assigned to his case in Belgium assisted him with his ongoing translation work by supplying him with manuscripts on request, and even wrote a document highlighting the points of *agreement* between Tyndale and Rome to try and get him released. Contrary to popular belief, the Church (and the Inquisition) had no authority to execute anyone. The purpose of the Inquisition was, in fact, to attempt to clear a suspect's name or get them to publicly recant and repent *to avoid* a civil trial, precisely because the state had the authority to carry out executions. A living heretic can repent, a dead one cannot.

Nowhere in Tyndale's court documents is his translation work ever mentioned.

America’s corporate governance system is broken, and it’s killing public companies. Look no further than Cracker Barrel: Decades of brutal mismanagement have seen one incompetent CEO after another walk away with a massive paycheck while customers and actual shareholders take a beating.

Why does this keep happening? Because proxy advisory firms like ISS are corrupt. They blindly rubber-stamp failing boards year after year, protecting the corporate elite while burning shareholder value to the ground.

The root of the rot is index funds. There's no question that indexing one's money is a smart financial move for most people. But just because you passively index your investments doesn't mean your corporate votes should be handed over to the managers of your fund so they can play politics. Right now, passive funds hold massive, unchecked voting blocks while having zero skin in the game themselves.

It is time for a simple rewrite of the rules: We need to index the votes of index fund investors.

Passive index funds should be forced to automatically split their votes to proportionately mirror those of retail and active institutional shareholders — the people actually doing the research, risking their capital, and fighting for performance in the companies they hold shares in. No more rubber-stamping. A change like this will immediately strip corrupt gatekeepers like ISS of their toxic influence.

True accountability happens when lazy, overpaid boards actually answer to the stakeholders they represent, rather than screwing them over.

Actual, logic-driven governance when your money is passive happens when your vote passively follows the voting decisions of the actual market.

We need to stop letting passive capital protect active incompetence. By stripping index funds of their arbitrary voting power and empowering engaged investors, we will finally torch corporate cronyism and usher American capital markets into a golden age of capitalism.
