This is not true. Car camping is legal in tons of places across the US and especially Europe, and it’s generally safe with common sense.

US: Allowed on most National Forests & BLM land (free dispersed camping), many rest areas, and some store lots. Millions do it yearly.

Europe (very friendly):
• Scandinavia: Allemansrätten lets you sleep in nature.
• Germany: Explicitly legal to sleep in your car for rest.
• France, UK, Austria: Widely tolerated in parking spots if discreet.

Apps like Park4Night show verified spots everywhere.
Safety: Choose decent spots, lock up, and you’re fine. People who never travel always thinks the world is so dangerous when it’s completely safe. Sitting on the couch forever is far more dangerous.

Yes, the Air is actually brilliant for the Model 3. That’s the car that shines maybe the most. Here is why: It finally solves the major slope there is in the trunk, making the bed completely flat while at the same time sitting so low that you maximize the headroom space in a way no other option does.

A suitcase size double bed for your car. But it had to be more than just camping gear. It should have the same comfort of a proper bed That was 10 years ago, I wanted a suitcase bed that fit everything inside. To protect it when not in use, like a luggage that belongs in the car.

That vision we have achieved with the Air 🔵 It packs the entire bed, two large memory foam quilted cotton sateen pillows , quilted sateen topper, and there is space for two duvet blankets inside. And it has suspension and surface leveling inbuilt. And it is all hand-made with incredible material quality.

In 2015 I was laying in the back of my Model S looking at the architecture of the car, the large space, the huge storage. In a car, that looked like an improved Aston Martin. I had my own self made bed that took so much space. It was that night I thought, if I can make a whole bed, fit inside a suitcase, we’d have a really cool product. This was way before anyone was thinking of sleeping in your car, it was not a trend.
