If the future is actually shaping the past, then we’ve been seeing everything backwards.
We think we’re moving from past → present → future, like walking forward down a road.
But what if it’s actually the future that’s pulling us, reaching backward, shaping our “past” decisions and experiences so that we arrive exactly where we need to be?
That would mean our entire sense of time — our whole life narrative — has been running in reverse.
We’re not “becoming” something.
We’re being unfolded into what we already are from the future’s point of view.
That’s a complete inversion of how we normally think about life.
