I do not want to save to OneDrive. I want to save it to the Documents folder on my computer. The actual Documents folder on my computer, sitting right here in my house.
UpToDate is going the way of the old medical textbook. They have been taking our money for long enough. Nice to see it being replaced by easy to access free information.
Whenever I see presentation slides fully designed by AI, a switch turns off in my brain. My attention suddenly drops.
The content may be ok. But realizing that they are AI-generated, and not knowing how much human input/review is included, makes me less engaged.
Is it just me?
Very often, simple processes become unnecessarily complicated—primarily because there’s no one to guide, no one to provide timely and proper direction. Time is scarce, and people are often left to struggle alone. I’ve seen patients face such difficulties repeatedly, and I’ve experienced it myself—especially with non-medical matters.
Recently, I struggled to get a simple certificate. What should have taken less than a week dragged on for over two months. Similarly, a patient from Chikkamagaluru came to us without an angiogram CD. To go back and retrieve it would have meant a significant delay and hardship. But all it took was one phone call from our end to the Chief Cardiologist there. The CD was couriered immediately, and the patient received timely advice and underwent surgery for multiple blocks.
This experience reinforces a simple truth: often, what seems complex can be resolved with just a small, sincere effort. All it takes is one or two people who care enough to help—and that can make all the difference.
