এটা দিন কয়েকের পুরনো ঘটনা।

মেদিনীপুর জেলার পটাশপুরের বন্যা প্লাবিত গ্রাম। সব ডুবে গেছে। চারিদিকে শুধু জল আর জল। সেই জলে লাইফ বোট। লাইফ বোটে রাজ্যের ক্যাবিনেট মন্ত্রী অগ্নিমিত্রা পাল। পরনে লাইফ জ্যাকেট।
মেঘলা আকাশ। মৃদুমন্দ বাতাস বইছে। বেশ একটা ঠান্ডা ঠান্ডা আমেজ। ফলে মন্ত্রী মহোদয়ার মেজাজও বেশ ফুরফুরে।
বন্যাপ্লাবিত গ্রাম দেখে প্রথমে উনি গান ধরলেন এই হলো ‘সুজলাং সুফলাং বাংলা.... মাতরম’। বুঝলাম স্বাধীনতা দিবসে বন্দেমাতরম গাওয়া নিয়ে ওনার দলের ‘পলিটিক্যাল সওয়্যাগ ’ থেকে উনি এখনও বের হতে পারেন নি। ট্রান্স এ আছেন।
গরিব মানুষের ঘর বাড়ি ক্ষেত খামার ভাসিয়ে তাদেরকে সর্বস্বান্ত করে দিয়ে চলে গেছে বন্যার জল! এটাই ‘সুজলাং’....জানলাম!
তারপর সুফলাং কোন টা ভাবছি.... মন্ত্রী মহোদয়া থেমে গেলেন। কারণটা অজানা রইল।
অবশ্য বাকি গানটা মন্ত্রী মহোদয়ারও অজানা থাকতে পারে।
যাইহোক বন্যাপীড়িত চারিদিক প্লাবিত গ্রাম বাংলার সৌন্দর্য্যে মোহিত মহোদয়া চলে গেলেন পরের গানে.... “ও আমার দেশের মাটি, তোমার পরে ঠেকাই মাথা।”
আমি তখন মাটি খুঁজছি। বন্যাপ্লাবিত গোটা গ্রাম মাটি খুঁজছে। পাচ্ছে না.... চারিদিকে শুধু জল আর জল। বন্যার জল আর সর্বস্ব হারানো গরীব মানুষের চোখের জল যারা স্পষ্ট জানাচ্ছে মন্ত্রী গান গেয়ে ছবি তুলে ভ্যানিশ! আমাদের এদিকে আসেনই নি।

কিন্তু আপনি হিন্দু রাষ্ট্রবাদী হলে এবং সাভারকারকে বীর ও নেতাজীকে গুন্ডা মানলে মন্ত্রী মহোদয়াকে এমন ‘ফ্লাড ট্যুরিজম’ বা ‘বন্যা বিহার’এর জন্যে একটা গৈরিক নমন করতেই পারেন!

আর এই পোস্ট টা করতে করতে জানতে পারলাম ইতিমধ্যেই আরেকটা কারণেও গৈরিক নমন প্রাপ্য হয়েছে ওনার। উনি জনৈকা গরিব ফুটপাথবাসিনী কে ফুটপাথে বাচ্চার দুধ গরম করার জন্যে শাসিয়ে এসেছেন।
