‘சர்வதேச போதைப் பொருள் ஒழிப்பு தினத்தை' முன்னிட்டு தமிழ்நாடு விளையாட்டு மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையம் சார்பில் 'ஸ்டார்ட் Run, ஸ்டாப் Drugs' என்கிற விழிப்புணர்வு ஓட்டம் இன்று சென்னையில் நடைபெற்றது. சிறுவர்கள் முதல் மூத்த குடிமக்கள் வரை 25,000-க்கும் மேற்பட்டவர்கள் உற்சாகத்துடன் கலந்துகொண்ட இந்த ஓட்டத்தினை மாண்புமிகு முதல்வர் அவர்கள் தொடங்கி வைத்தார். மேலும், முதல்வர் அவர்களே போதைக்கு எதிரான பயண ஓட்டத்தில் மக்களுடன் சேர்ந்து ஓடியதன் மூலம், மக்கள் நலனில் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் உறுதியான நிலைப்பாட்டை வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார்.

அறப்போர் 2022ம் ஆண்டு கொடுத்த புகாரை விசாரிக்காமல் தலையணைக்கு அடியில் வைத்து நன்றாக உறங்கி விட்டு இப்போ ஆட்சி மாற்றம் நடந்த பிறகு FIR போட்டால் அது பழி வாங்கும் நடவடிக்கையா மிஸ்டர் வேலு? அப்போ ஊழல் புகாரை விசாரிக்காமல் ஒளித்து வைத்து ஊழல்வாதிகளை பாதுகாத்து நீங்கள் செய்த வேலைக்கு என்ன பெயர் மிஸ்டர் வேலு?

Leading a CBSE school for close to 10 years has shown me just how painful it can be to deal with the government machinery.

There are days when you come very close to giving up; not because running a school is difficult, but because you're exhausted from constantly having to give. Even greed should have a ceiling. There has to be a point where they should just live & let live.

Every approval (fire, safety, kitchen, hostel, or any other clearance) seems to come with an expectation of money. Every government meeting happening in the proximity of our school, we are not requested but demanded to provide money, school vans, staff, and other resources.

An example: the FIDE Chess Olympiad in Chennai in 2022. We were instructed to provide a couple of our school vans for advertisement. Huge posters featuring our Chief Minister and the Chess Olympiad branding were put up on our SCHOOL vehicles. A month after the event, when we requested that they be removed, we were told either to leave them as they were or remove them at our own expense (which was not cheap).

What disturbed me even more was hearing government officials openly say that corruption has always existed in TN, but under the current government, they no longer have to hide it or fear getting caught. Those words came from their own mouths.

I'm neither for nor against any political party. But when you endure one blow after another for years, it's only natural to feel relieved, and even celebrate, when the wind changes direction & you finally sense the possibility of a fresh breeze.

Sometimes, being a fan is exhausting because the people you admire also have the power to hurt your happiness.

We still haven't recovered from the disappointment and frustration caused by seeing you attend that marriage with a person whom many supporters now see as the most irritating face in Tamil Nadu politics and social media.

Then came your birthday, and honestly, the photos that surfaced yesterday completely ruined the happiness and peace that many of us were feeling.

And now, once again, TVK supporters are worried about whether you will attend Khushbu's daughter's wedding with that same person.

I'm genuinely begging you—please go alone, just like you always did.

If you attend the wedding solo, we will celebrate it wholeheartedly. It would make many of us genuinely happy.

Please don't go with that person again and put your supporters through more anger and disappointment.

If someone makes a mistake unknowingly, they can be corrected when people explain it to them. But when someone keeps repeating the same actions despite knowing that it hurts the feelings and peace of mind of supporters, there is very little anyone can do.

Many of us have tried through social media to make our People's CM Vijay understand our concerns because we genuinely care about his image and political future.

But at some point, we also have to protect our own peace of mind.

One thing is certain—if nothing changes, this cycle will keep repeating.

So maybe it's time for supporters to accept that we have done everything we could. The rest is not in our hands anymore.

Karma and time will handle everything.

For now, I only hope that our People's CM Vijay attends the wedding alone.
