India's fertility rate is falling and santra Twitter has immediately concluded the problem is hindu women as other religion women are reproducing rapidly. Classic.

Nobody is asking the obvious question. Why would a woman want to have children with a man who demands a teenage virgin with dowry, wants male child only, treats a stay at home wife as a leech, a working wife as disloyal, an educated wife as disrespectful and a less educated wife as embarrassing. There is no version of a woman that passes the audit.

Women are not refusing motherhood. They are refusing the full package that comes with it. The financial extraction. The maid duties. The in-law servitude. The man who has infinite demands and zero self awareness.

Fix the men first. Make yourself someone a woman would actually want to build a family with. Make yourself someone whose children would have a safe, loving home to grow up in. The fertility rate will sort itself out.

The problem was never Hindu women. It was always the conditions being offered to them.
