So first off, thank you all for the support. I’m honestly overwhelmed by the kind words from everyone. And a huge thanks to those in the media and within Sony’s studios who have reached out to me with information that they’ve passed up the chain at Sony.
I still don’t have access to my account and am waiting for Sony Customer Support to provide me with an update, though they’re certainly taking their sweet time. This all started last night when I randomly received a message saying that my 2FA had been disabled. That immediately startled me, as I personally did not make that change.
After multiple attempts to log back in to reset my password and re-enable 2FA, it clearly didn’t work as while I was doing this I was being spammed with emails from Sony customer support advising there were changes being made to my account. Then they managed to change my email address tied to my account and I was finally locked out of my PSN.
To be absolutely clear: I am 100% sure that I was not phished, and I did not click on any malicious-looking links or do anything that would knowingly compromise my account.
It’s clear that Sony has a serious problem on its hands with the widespread account theft being reported, and this needs to be addressed immediately for everyone who has been affected.
Since I've seen them get a recent boost in popularity, you should know Diopt's entire channel is built on AI generated music and artwork.
The vast majority of the artwork on the channel is AI generated with clearly visible errors and inconsistencies, and all of the music is too
RECAP: An update list on Sony, and the video game industry’s downwards spiral after announcing the end of physical media🚀

✅Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney also stated that this is the worst crash in the industry since the 80s, and experts call it “Crash 2.0” referring to exponentially increasing development costs for AAA games and the %400 increase in RAM and storage prices due to AI and data centers

Microsoft has filed a patent for ads that could interrupt games after boss fights, cutscenes, quests and multiplayer rounds
Players would receive credits granting temporary game access, while watching an ad would award another credit to let them resume
@MercadoLivre Got shown that somebody is selling my art on your platform without my permission. And I can't report it because I got no access without an account, which I can't create based on the country I am from. This is absulutely dumb and ridiculous. No contact e-mail either
Here's the thing that I feel a lot of people don't get about recreating someone like this in AI.
In the technical sense, it's incredibly impressive. Recreating someone who is no longer with us perfectly is seriously nothing to scoff at.
But that's just it. You could recreate their face, their body, their voice, their personality, their mannerisms and even the way they might think—but I don't want that.
To parade around a digital perfect recreation of them, especially when it's something they wouldn't have wanted, is disgusting. They've passed away. I know they're gone and I've accepted that they're gone.
I don't want to see something that I know for a fact isn't them pretending to be them.
Just had the creepiest scam ever happen 20 minutes ago.
I got a call from my wife telling me she forgot her wallet and needed the credit card to pay for her gas.
Except my wife was at home with me, and drives a Tesla. Same voice, bit... off, weird cadence but 100% sounded just like her. If she wasn't there, and it wasn't about gas I would have fallen for it.
I entertained it for awhile to get more out of it, I was so confused. Must be some sort of voice deepfake. The responses were too fast for ai, I think it was a voice filter. I wish I had thought to record it.
The future is about to get fucked. Warn your loved ones, do verbal passwords with your kids.
Bit taken aback
A California homeowner is facing major fines for growing a lush 'food forest' in his yard.
Michael Sherman, a 49-year-old landscape contractor in Chino, California, replaced his traditional front lawn in 2019 with a productive garden of sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, and passion fruit.
Prompted by rising grocery costs and concerns over chemical pesticides, Sherman designed the edible oasis to feed his family and share fresh produce with his neighbors.
However, the urban-farming initiative has turned into a legal battleground. Despite Chino’s official city motto being 'Where everything grows,' local code enforcement hit Sherman with a $750 fine in April 2026 for 'overgrown vegetation,' followed by a $500 fine in August, with threats of additional penalties if he does not dismantle the project.
The dispute highlights a growing national clash between traditional suburban aesthetic standards and modern sustainability movements. While some neighbors rallied around Sherman's eco-friendly initiative, others complained to the city, calling the yard an eyesore and raising concerns about potential pests. City officials ordered Sherman to cut back his crops, maintain pedestrian lines of sight, and keep plants at least 15 feet away from neighboring properties. Refusing to easily back down, Sherman has trimmed some of the vegetation to meet safety guidelines but plans to appeal the other citations, expressing frustration over the government's heavy-handed interference. 'I don't trust the system,' Sherman stated, arguing that homeowners should have the right to grow their own food without facing bureaucratic penalties.
