Some historical figures I never learned about in school expanded:
Constance Markievicz
4 February 1868 – 15 July 1927
An Irish revolutionary, politician, suffragette, socialist, the first woman elected to the Westminister cabinet, First Dáli, and in any parliament in Europe.
I’m taking a Twitter break for my own mental health but please please please stay safe everyone. Look after yourself. I’ll be fine, but really feeling for my mutuals and followers in cities rn, especially poc, the women, the queers and the disabled ones.
Rashford, Sancho and Saka have their whole careers ahead of them. It didn’t go our way, but I’m proud they represented England.
And I can’t wait til they come back to international football, older and more resilient.
it’s actually so mad to me that england loses a game and the first thing black people and women have to think about is their safety. this country is a nightmare
Can we remember...
Marcus Rashford is 23, raised £200m for kids to eat last year.
Jadon Sancho is 21, opened up new football pitches for those in the suburbs of London.
Bukayo Saka is 19, a voice for the youth of football today & helping local communities.

Saka is 19 years old
Sancho is 21 years old
Rashford is 23 years old
Incredibly talented young players who helped take England to its first major tournament final in 55 years. That alone is an incredible achievement. Can't begin to imagine the amount of pressure they were under.
Marcus Rashford has done more for England then winning a penalty could ever do. Bukayo Saka has bought joy and inspiration to so many at fucking NINTEEN. These kids need to hold their heads so high.
@randomsunrises Absolutely agree yeah, protecting Saka and Rashford is the important thing right now. I just also think attacking Southgate for putting black players up for penalties in the first place isn’t good either.
@randomsunrises Or not is irrelevant. He needs defending from what’s gonna come. And I don’t think there’s anyone to really blame here, except for racist evil fans and the media. 2/2
@randomsunrises What I will say, is that I’ve seen people jumping to say Southgate used Saka as a sacrificial lamb to defend himself from the press which isn’t on either.
I think it’s important to hate in mind that who takes the penalties is a team decision BUT … whether Saka volunteered 1/2
