06-08-2026 will forever be etched in my memory.

You all stood still for a moment to celebrate me.

Those moments from you, added up, became an avalanche of emotions and happiness for me.

It came from your hearts, and it drowned me in so much HEARTS

I felt SEEN,
I felt SAFE,
I felt LOVED,
I felt APPRECIATED,
I felt all VALIDATIONS,
I felt my CONVICTIONS strengthened,
I felt HONORED,
I even felt ADORED,
Above all,
I FELT PROTECTED by you all.

Gift after Gift….”
You all filled my day with warmth, my heart with joy, and my soul with happiness and fulfillment.

Leadership rests tough decisions on many shoulders with their attendant consequences; constantly reflecting on how to be better is one of the hallmarks of great leadership.

In the last few months, I have had to make many tough decisions, and I kept reflecting on whether they were all worth it.
Yesterday was a LOUD YES. It was ALL WORTH IT.

-Permit me to rightly and justly share the accolades with Members of my NOC and the CP, e-NOC, NEC Members, Past NARD Leaders and every NARDite across the Country.

-Permit me also to thoroughly appreciate those who guided and directed events (and especially the last 11 months), without whom we may not have been here. These include our Elders in the Profession, including the leadership of NMA, Elders and Leaders within Government cycles.

I know how much I have relied on the influence and inputs of the above two groups.

But perhaps my greatest appreciation goes to my lovely wife and beautiful daughters, who supported me fully, endured all my absences, and still show me unconditional love and respect.

Thank you all.

I hope my next year (and many years to come) will be even more fruitful for our profession, colleagues, and country.

I did 14 months of house job in Lagos without pay.

When we went on strike, they paid 8 months and reported us to MDCN.

The hospital also refused to sign me off.

My NYSC was delayed by 7 months.

I worked & saved for 7 years, wrote my exams, and relocated to the UK.

6 months salary in the UK was more than ALL my salaries in Nigeria COMBINED.

This is a young medical doctor called Dr Innocent. He’s working as a house officer at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital in Calabar, Cross River State.

Dr Innocent and his other doctor colleagues who are also house officers have NOT been paid for 290 days.

Yes you read that right.
A whole 290 days of working as a medical doctor with ZERO pay. That’s about 10 months work with NO pay.

According to Dr Innocent,
The Ministry of Defence has refused to pay their salaries for no reason. This young medical doctors are being worked like slaves while receiving ZERO pay.

They have nobody to speak for them.
They have nobody to fight for them.
They are suffering and dying in silence.
