Media pointed out the unexpected comment terror on #IU's SNS over the recent election issues.

During the elections, numerous polling stations complained they had ballot paper shortages. In particular, in Jamsil area, the issue continued between netizen and the National Election Commission over ballot box management, leading some citizens to link this incided to allegations of fraud, they hold rallies and protests.

IU's SNS flooded with comments such as "Please prepay for Starbucks in Jamsil", "Take care of the participants protesting as well", "Send coffee truck to the citizens who came out for democracy", "Why isn't she providing support this time?" and some comments said IU's silence was unfair.

This issue seemed to be happened as IU offer her support for the rally in 2024, where it demand the impeachment of the former president Yoon Suk-yeol. At that time, IU prepaid breads, drinks, gukbap, and hand warmers for rally participants. This act had divided response where some responded positively while some conservatives raised criticism.
