@4pfamiri@StevyFranchise_@DeVngelo__ It’s not really about what white ppl think. I never said the genre belongs to white people, I just said it’s white dominated, which it is. I recognized our influence too. I’m not disagreeing but i feel like there’s another convo to be had that’s all.
@4pfamiri@ryogvs@StevyFranchise_@DeVngelo__ i’m not saying that black Americans didn’t make sacrifices to help him, I’m saying I feel like it’s a larger convo about the diaspora since he IS a black American whether y’all acknowledge or not. He’s being held to a different expectation than other black artists tho.
@ryogvs@4pfamiri@StevyFranchise_@DeVngelo__ Ok, I understand their point better now. But his parents made sacrifices by bringing him into the country;not black Americans. He’s a black man who grew up in America and has definitely had the black American experience. He’s being held to a diff standard than other black artists
@4pfamiri@StevyFranchise_@DeVngelo__ not that i completely agree with him not celebrating juneteenth, this doesn’t really make sense since he’s in a white dominated music genre. Of course black americans have influence there but his success has nothing to do with our “pain and struggle”
@dorynotlory ur is a shortened form of you’re . and nowhere in that video was she popping her butt. that baby had her back to the camera and you were looking at her butt. ur trying desperately to justify the sexualization of a little girl you’ve never spoken to nor been around.
@miracleedeannaa@BovanAisha@fauxfresh it literally is. matter of fact your birthday comes annually but you only graduate high school once so why not have a big celebration?
