What Trump wants is a federal takeover of state voter data backed by threats of prosecution—without evidence of widespread noncitizen voting. Election security is fine; handing sensitive voter files to a serial election liar is the problem. And ‘people who hate America’ isn’t a legal category.

Hillary conceding in 2016 while criticizing Russian interference is not remotely the same as Trump pressuring officials to ‘find’ enough votes to overturn his loss.
