I have some terrible personal news to share.

I was just laid off from my position at the National Institute of Health as part of the dismantling of USAID.

My job was lead scientist on the "Shrimp on Treadmills" study, where we were exploring the intersection of racism and inclusivity by observing how quickly different species of shrimp would tire on treadmills.

We were trying to see if there was any correlation between the pigmentation of the shrimp and their endurance levels, aiming to shed light on inclusivity in the aquatic fitness world.

We'd already spent $84 million, and we were on the cusp of determining if there was such a thing as 'shrimp privilege.'

I'm devastated.
