When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. There were tears both at the start of the softball season and at the end, but they moved from sadness to joy. #SilverMedal#NoHitter
Happy 13th birthday to my baby girl. You are everything that I could have wished for and you make me proud every day. (Ignore the spelling on the sign, it was as close as we could get)
Here is why I coach, I volunteer for the kids. I know most other coaches do as well. Let's not chase the good ones away, just because of the mistakes of a few.
This MHMHA article hit close to home. Let's not paint everyone with the same brush. Not all board members are corrupt, not all coaches' kids are only on a team because of mom/dad and not all coaches take friends/family over those who earned a spot.
That experience had me contemplating why I was volunteering 20+ hours/week, excluding time spent planning, scheduling and organizing the season. Now I am back coaching hockey this winter and the comments I have heard & read have me asking myself why again.
My little girl worked so hard this past year. Hours at Swanny's between ringette games/practices, private lessons with Courtney (thank you), academy at @NotreDame_MH and never missing a game/practice. Paid off with her 2nd straight provincial gold. #proudDad
It was great having Saskatchewan's Stu Scheurwater behind the plate and on the bases this past weekend.
From the Prairies to The Show, keep making ๐จ๐ฆ proud, Stu!
