@lanebrown_3 Wait so is the only way merit pay? Or do we also have to do the other 3 things that aren’t merit pay? I am confused.
“Bring back parental involvement” lol. Where did it go?
You’re not an educator , a parent, or, based on your posts, a well informed person…
@jacobrosecrants Additionally - appointments could result in supts. that aren’t bought and paid for. No partisan campaigning could be a refreshing change…
@jacobrosecrants I want to agree - but RW was elected… I dunno if any gov. Would have ever appointed him. So if the goal is avoid another extremist zealot than maybe appointments make sense…?
@RyanWalters_@willcain@GavinNewsom@FoxNews Yet another non-existent problem. It’s not like we have lines of certified teachers from these states trying to teach in OK. We are lucky to have certified folks from OK to apply.
You should be working on recruiting not “safe-guarding.”
@kcizz1e@tcblume For sure. He is talking about having districts report data on assessments every 6-9 weeks… not sure who will be vetting these - or how these will used in A-F. My fear is that districts will now be on the hook to purchase or create these assessments w/ no $ from state.
@GovStitt Translation: Our policies have gradually worsened public schools and led to a massive teacher shortage. So, we decided to cut our losses and give more public tax to private schools (many of which raised tuition in response) to subsidize the education of the wealthy.
@jacobrosecrants@oufenix This should 100% be local control. While this may be well intentioned, it will more than likely result in an additional unfounded burden on admin staff to police cell phone usage.
No matter how hard you try you will never be able to legislate higher student achievement.
@jacobrosecrants@wsuares Why can’t anyone get him to site specific examples in the curriculum he won’t approve? He all but accused them of having racist content? He said he would go down the list, but mentioned know specifics.
