As I've said before, the whole "more conservative as you age" thing was always "more conservative when you feel part of the status quo and want to preserve it"

In 2006, Disneymania 4 was released and included Anneliese van der Pol singing Candle on the Water from Pete’s Dragon. I listened to that song on loop and told my mom that I thought Anneliese should play Belle on Broadway. A year later, Disney cast her as the final Belle.
I have waited since then to see Anneliese perform A Change in Me live, and I have tickets to see her in the Disney Princess Concert Tour tomorrow.
And today I have been whisked off to the hospital because I have a blockage in my colon, and will be missing the concert tomorrow.

The talented H.E.R. (Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson) - 1st Filipino & Black artist to play “Belle” in “Beauty and the Beast” (airs on ABC on Dec. 15) - represents her Filipino roots through indigenous Tagalog baybayin writings on her outfit. The writing says “Bel”. This is dope. 🤎
