@jackiev_writes So true, it is in our fallen and sinful nature to look at the bad things. But if we just sit back for a minute, and realize how good we have it, God gives us peace.
The thermostat is twitching, the mop is on the floor, the barrel's full of fire, the key is in the door. Hurricane is blowing, tornado in the frost. Dust is kicking up a notch, the soup is in the pot. Stir it with a giant's spoon, it thickens like the plot.
Don't worry. That is constantly in my mind. The Lord said don't worry many times in the new testament. We can't worry about yesterday because it's gone, and we can't worry about tomorrow because we have enough problems in the present to deal with. Cast your troubles on God. Peace
When an engineer sees a river and envisions building a bridge between two towns, he uses the mathematical and scientific mind he was given to build that bridge. A poet is much the same, he tries to make sense of the beauty that endures forever and the trash that is burned in fire
