And finally the operating rod, without a doubt the trickiest part to print so far. I had to get really creative with this one, but I think I found a deeeecent way to print it. Even so, it’ll probably remain the weakest link in the entire system.

The tool for the main spring. It worked better than I expected, but I’m concerned that this one is pretty close to the minimum diameter this kind of design can handle. That could become a problem for models that require even thinner springs. I’m looking at you, M1 Carbine 🫵

Then the gas cylinder. I think is one of the most iconic parts of the Garand's silhouette. It's still not finished; it still needs the front sight and the stacking swivel, but it's looking good so far.
