After hundreds of thousands - if not millions of mortality and sick Nigerians, @NafdacAgency finally bans and updates their list of banned pesticides in Nigeria.
It took plenty dragging from organizations like @AAonPesticideNg to get NAFDAC to update this list on their website. The lethargic attitude of @NafdacAgency towards the safety of Nigerians must now be really looked into. For instance, in 2023, you said Atrazine was bad, and banned it to take effect from Jan 1, 2025, and eventually update your list of banned chemicals August 2025, so much so that we calling it a BIG WIN, because you finally woke up from slumber and did your work?

Anyways, let me post a few of what these banned chemicals can do:

- Paraquat Dichloride
Extremely toxic; ingestion causes lung fibrosis, kidney/liver failure, death (even small amounts). Linked to Parkinson's (oxidative stress on brain cells), endocrine disruption. Environmentally harms aquatic life, persists in soil.

- Carbofuran
Carbamate; high acute toxicity (cholinesterase inhibitor), neurotoxic (headaches, nausea, death). Mimics melatonin, linked to diabetes, Parkinson's. Toxic to birds/bees

- Chlorpyrifos
Organophosphate; cholinesterase inhibitor, acute: nausea, headaches; chronic: developmental neurotoxicity in children, linked to Parkinson's. Harms wildlife

I honestly would like to thank you for this post for the term 'Debate Worthy'.
The first time I spoke with Gloria, the Head of Communications of Nigeria's Biosafety Agency, I asked her to convince me GMOs were good, and I will market it. I tell people, if you can convince me, and answer all my questions, I will change my current position on any topic. It's an open call to debate.

These are the 7 questions I asked @PeakMilk and once they answer satisfactorily and it satisfies the argument that justifies Fluoride in products, I will promote their product.

1) Where is the Fluoride in the small sachet and refill packs of powdered milk coming from? These are the most widely consumed products.

2) If the Fluoride is naturally occurring, why is it absent in the evaporated milk but present in the powdered milk?

3) What type of Fluoride is in the powdered milk?
Naturally occurring fluoride is Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂), which is considered the least toxic due to its poor solubility in water.
However, the more common forms found in processed products are Sodium Fluoride (NaF), Sodium Fluorosilicate (Na₂SiF₆), and Hydrofluosilicic Acid (H₂SiF₆)—all of which are highly soluble and more toxic.
Which of these is present in Peak Milk?

4) Who determines how much Fluoride we should ingest?

5) Who decided that milk should be the delivery medium for extra Fluoride?

6) And why don’t we see Fluoride listed in other foods or beverages, including some of theirs?

7) Lastly, when exactly was Fluoride added to the composition list?
