chainlink payment abstraction v2 audit starts march 16. creates permissionless dutch auctions that convert ALL enterprise fees into LINK regardless of what currency they pay in. reserve already accumulating 120k+ LINK weekly from existing flows. the tokenomics force conversion at protocol level. enterprises pay in fiat, protocol buys LINK.
$LINK futures are now live on the world’s largest, CFTC-regulated derivatives exchange
Available in larger and micro-sized contracts, CME $LINK futures bring:
- Enhanced institutional access
- Capital-efficient exposure
- Deepened onshore liquidity
- Basis trade arbitrage with ETFs
- Validation of $LINK as a commodity
We're excited to announce the launch of the Chainlink Reserve, a new upgrade centered on the creation of a strategic onchain reserve of LINK tokens.
https://t.co/Fgib8zR9uj
The Chainlink Reserve is designed to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the Chainlink Network by accumulating LINK tokens using offchain revenue from large enterprises that are adopting the Chainlink standard and from onchain service usage.
The Chainlink Reserve is being built up by using Payment Abstraction to convert offchain and onchain revenue into LINK, using a combination of Chainlink services and decentralized exchange infrastructure.
Demand for Chainlink has already created hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, substantially from large enterprises that have paid offchain for access to the Chainlink Platform.
With increasing demand from a number of the world’s largest banking and capital markets institutions, this form of paying for the Chainlink standard is expected to grow into the future as the industry grows.
The Reserve has already accumulated over $1M worth of LINK from this early stage launch phase, which is expected to gradually grow in the coming months as more revenue is converted into LINK and placed into the Reserve.
We do not expect any withdrawals from the Reserve for multiple years and thus it is expected to grow over time. We believe that as the industry demand for Chainlink’s unique capabilities increases, that adoption of Chainlink services will enable the Reserve to grow further.

@CarbanakLink @sailor_link How does Super-Linear Staking create stronger value capture for $link in your mind? As I understand it, less $link has to be staked to provide the same economic security were you not using SLS.

CCIP v1.6 is officially live!
This upgrade features numerous architectural improvements that facilitate faster chain integrations and reduced costs for users and node operators
Notably this includes:
- Non-EVM Chain Support: v1.6 makes CCIP VM-agnostic, which unlocked support for the first non-EVM chain, @solana. Any chain, using any virtual machine (EVM, SVM, Move, etc), can be integrated with CCIP.
- Faster Chain Expansion: A leaner onchain footprint (one OnRamp/OffRamp contract per-chain, instead of per chain-lane), combined with an offchain Risk Mangement Network implementation, means CCIP's footprint only grows proportionally with the number of chains
- Any-to-Any Connectivity: By moving from lane-based to chain-based deployments, any chains supported by v1.6 become interoperable with all other v1.6 chains by default. Solana is the first chain supported by v1.6, with more to come
- Enhanced Execution Batching: CCIP can now not only batch messages from the same source + destination chain lane, but can batch messages from multiple source chains landing on the same destination chain. This reduces costs for users as CCIP volume grows
- New Architectural Design: CCIP v1.6 now operates as a global decentralized oracle network (DON) where nodes receive sub-network roles (Committing DON, Executing DON) from a Capability Registry on a home chain. This allows nodes to support a subset of CCIP-connected chains, rather than all chains, allowing for specialization and further scaling gains
Notably, with the CCIP v1.6 upgrade, all existing CCIP integrations remain compatible, requiring no modifications from devs
Minor additional upgrades also include single chain payments for node operators via the Reserve contract and streamlined token pricing and gas updates required for CCIP fee pricing
Very simple, the green season for $LINK has begon.
I think that #Chainlink is an extremely safe bet to take going into the entire regulatory framework and adoption in the U.S.
The most impressive thing about Ethereum is that the network has not gone offline even once since genesis.
That's almost 10 years of 100% uptime - not even centralized services can boast this level of uptime.
As an ecosystem we should be incredibly proud of this achievement.
Banks can do custody in the U.S.
Banks are very likely going to do #DeFi in the coming years.
What do they require?
$LINK for data transmission / oracle.
I think we'll have a significant expansion in the coming 6 months as, technically, a HL is made and trend is upward.
@chainlink Hell yeah, permissionless token onboarding to CCIP now available to everyone 🔥
$1.3B+ of tokens have been securely transferred over CCIP to date, expect this number to keep rapidly accelerating
🚨 $LINK just closed its first 4H candle above the 200W MA since June 16th! Long overdue for its strong fundamentals to reflect in the price. ✨ #Chainlink#Crypto
