Tonight I attended the LHS Scholarship Awards Program. It was exciting to see students recognized for their accomplishments. There were many presenters including the famous Senor Sullivan. For fun I took a selfie of the parents taking pictures of their kids. @CitrusSchools
Sarah Hebert and I celebrated with students from Lecanto High School during Decision Day! Students decorated tables to show their future plans. We both enjoyed talking with students about their plans beyond high school. I even took a few selfies. @CitrusSchools

The Citrus County Robotics team, which includes representatives from all Citrus County High Schools, participated in a robotics competition in Tallahassee Florida. The students showcased the robot they created at the April 11th school board meeting. @CitrusSchools

I started my morning sending off Citrus County School District science fair students to participate in the State Science Fair. Mr. McNally provided parents with information about the event. He was excited to be the leader for the amazing group of science students. @CitrusSchools
I enjoyed going to the Citrus County Fair this year. Students in the swine showmanship did their best and the judge gave individual feedback. Dr. Marnie Ward even took a break to say hello. Our amazing community supports students in 4-H and FFA. @CitrusSchools
I met the three students that will be performing in the Macys Thanksgiving Parade this year. I told them that I also performed in the parade when I was in college and that they would have an amazing once in a lifetime trip. @CitrusSchools

I was invited by the high school band directors to attend the Citrus County Percussion Ensemble at LHS. The jazz band, chorus, and percussion ensemble performed and I was impressed with the talent of the students in our county. @CitrusSchools
