Progress continues in Romania. ☀️The 126MW Vacaresti #solarpark is moving steadily closer to energisation and the first injection of clean power into the national grid.

✅ Our teams have now completed the key infrastructure components, including the solar field, substation, and 110kV cable route, in close collaboration with local authorities.

Vacaresti solar park is our largest construction project to date. Once commissioned, it will become our fourth operational asset in #Romania, expanding our operational capacity to nearly 300MW and strengthening our contribution to the country’s energy transition.

The agreement will lead DRI to full ownership of the two projects in Italy — one located in the province of Campobasso (Molise) and the other in the province of Foggia (Apulia) — marking another significant step forward in DRI’s #renewableenergy portfolio in #Italy.

✅ This initiative will foster the socio-economic development of the Puglia and Basilicata regions, as well as that of the local communities involved. It also contributes to Italy’s decarbonisation goals defined in the 2030 National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan and supports the country’s broader #energytransition.

The 112MW / 448MWh project🔋, acquired from Greenvolt Group— a company within KKR's portfolio and, through Greenvolt Power, one of Europe’s leading utility scale renewables and BESS developers — is at the Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage, with all necessary administrative approvals, permits, and grid connection agreements in place for immediate construction.

🎙️ Murat Cinar, DRI CEO, said: “With the signing of this agreement, we are consolidating our position in the Polish energy market, and more broadly, in Europe's energy transition. By adding a second battery storage project to our portfolio, the acquisition of the Kozienice BESS will increase our total storage capacity available to the Polish grid to 245 MW.
This technology will play a vital role in Europe's transition towards a renewables-based system, enhancing grid stability and reducing the risk of outages during periods of system stress. Battery Energy Storage Systems will be at the heart of the power grid of the future.“

Alongside its two battery storage projects in #Poland, DRI is also advancing a further fifteen solar and onshore wind projects at various stages of development in Croatia, Italy and Romania.

🔋 @dri_energy, DTEK Group's EU renewables arm, has picked @fluenceenergy to deliver Poland's largest battery energy storage project: the 133 MW at Trzebinia, southern Poland.

The 622 MWh facility will strengthen Poland's energy security through the capacity market system, providing instant grid response during peak demand. The project uses Fluence's Smartstack™ platform with advanced cybersecurity features.

This builds on our recent Ukraine success, where DTEK Group and Fluence Energy energised 200 MW of battery storage across six sites in record time. For DTEK and DRI, the project continues the Ukrainian-American partnership to strengthen energy security for Europe as a whole and for Ukraine in particular.

��� Under a 17-year capacity market contract starting in 2027, batteries will help strengthen Poland’s energy security by providing an ‘energy reserve’ that can be dispatched in milliseconds to prevent outages in moments of system stress – such as peak demand or sudden drops in generation.
🔹 The agreement comes just two weeks after Fluence and @dtek_en, DRI’s parent company, energised a 200MW project across six sites in Ukraine, using Fluence storage systems to make Ukraine’s energy system more resilient in time for winter to boost energy security in Ukraine.
🔹 The Trzebinia project will use Fluence’s Smartstack™ platform, incorporating advanced cybersecurity to help protect Polish grid.

We're delighted to announce that Murat Cinar has been appointed Chief Executive of @dri_energy DTEK's European renewables arm, effective from 3rd September.

Murat brings over 25 years of leadership experience across telecom and technology sectors in international markets including Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Qatar. He succeeds Ivan Geliukh, who successfully strengthened DRI's position in key European markets.

📢 Leadership Announcement | Murat Cinar has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of #DRI. With more than 25 years of leadership experience — including 12 as CEO — in the telecom and technology sectors, Cinar has held senior positions across more than 10 international markets.

One of the biggest advances was in Romania, where the company expanded its renewable portfolio and launched construction of the 126MWp  Vacaresti solar power park, bringing the country portfolio close to 300MW.
The project is supported by DRI’s first €60 million internationally led syndicated green loan. The company also achieved strong progress in other core markets — developing a large-scale BESS in Poland, launching its third project in Croatia, the Ljubovo wind farm, and expanding the Italian portfolio to over 500MW. What does #communityimpact look like beyond energy projects? In Trzebinia, it meant a joint initiative between #DRI and @FCShakhtar_eng: over 100 children travelling to Krak��w for a European football match — for many, their first time in a stadium of this scale.

🌱This marks DRI’s first internationally led syndicated financing, first certified green loan, and first multi-currency loan.
🌍 The loan structure is fully aligned with Green Loan Principles and the EU Taxonomy Alignment Criteria, key components of the EU’s sustainable finance framework and essential for market transparency.

🔋The Vacaresti solar park in Dambovita County will have an installed capacity of 126MWp, enough to power approximately 50,000 households and avoid 48,600 tonnes of carbon emissions per year. The construction of the park began in January 2025, and it is expected to be operational by autumn 2025.

🔹 Four renewable energy projects are in the pipeline in #Croatia — one solar park and three wind farms — with a total planned capacity of more than 300MW.
🔹The most advanced is Brda Umovi, a 127.5MW wind farm that could be expanded by additional 29MW in a second phase. ✅ The project includes the construction of a new 400/110 kV substation — the first of its kind in Croatia in more than two decades — and a ten-kilometre-long transmission line. Construction is set to begin in 2026, with commissioning scheduled for the following year.
🔹DRI's also planning to integrate battery storage and support a maturing #PPA market in Croatia.

📍 In Ruginoasa, our team supported local children with essential gift packs and sweets to celebrate Children’s Day, and hosted school visits to our 60MWp wind farm — the first built in #Romania in over a decade.

📍 In Glodeni, we provided educational materials for children and are supporting the completion of the local medical centre, which is essential for the community, as residents currently need to travel to the nearest city for basic healthcare.

📍 In Vacarestii, we supported local events that bring the community together and have distributed gifts to children in the neighbouring communes of Ulmi and Lucieni.
