@BurakYngn@_ghost_____ Dude, Baseball is extremely popular in the Caribbean, Netherlands, South American countries, eastern Asian countries, etc. it’s not uniquely American and the sister game, Cricket, is a massive global game.
@Footballtweet The Golden Hour is extremely important to parental bonding with their child. There are studies showing this. The fact that a bunch of weird ass people want him to play football for their own selfish reasons then let him be at the birth is the exact reason America is better.
I’ll do one better. Have a time keeper and allow 1 strategic timeout per half. The game would become more dynamic with a hard time and the ability to set up strategy based on manager and coach observation.
I’m not even gonna entertain this with a counterpoint, because his entire comment and subsequent responses prove how dumb average British people act. It’s not good ragebait and it’s chalked full of ridiculous generalities with zero context. I guarantee this dude has never visited
@SophiaLee42 The left were the ones protesting and openly calling for the protest of the national anthem. Shut the f*** up with your mentally r*t*rded takes
@tobysomeoneb@GarrettWebste13@CrimsonBomb20@starsnstripesfc Dude, it’s literally a fact that they started playing it after it became popular at Fenway. You don’t even know the basic history. You act like John Henry, who owns the Sox, doesn’t also own a premier league team, too.
Glad to see the Brits still claiming shit they don’t own.
@CrimsonBomb20@starsnstripesfc You can’t claim Sweet Caroline. That’s been a Red Sox song since 1997. The British only started using it because of how popular it became at Fenway.
I understand his stance. However, the American way is “play to win the game”. Leave it all on the field, win at all costs, etc. Our professional athletes in the other major sports will tell you their drive is to win championships not lose year in and year out.
Mauricio Pochettino said that ‘American sports reward losers’ when asked about the style of play in top European nations vs. in the U.S. 🇺🇸
QUESTION: “We know how England, France, Spain play… Players from countries with a strong tradition have a recognizable style. What is the style of the US team? What kind of football do the Americans want to play?”
ANSWER: “Their culture is playful. They want to play. We told them, “Guys, playing soccer is one thing, competing is another.” They’re two completely different sports. They grow up in a culture of playing. Why? If you start in MLS and you haven’t won a game in three months and you’re at the bottom, what’s the consequence if there’s no promotion or relegation, no international competition? American sports reward losers! But soccer is different: if you reward those who don’t win… If you don’t have goals, you don’t fight. If I lose, what happens? Nothing. They just fire the coach. Also, the American player is disciplined. But with a sense of complacency that isn’t good in soccer. It took us a year and a half to change that mentality.”

@laurennUTD This has nothing to do with America. The World Cup is across 3 countries and it was FIFA who mandated them due to the weather that is affecting all your sissy European athletes. It amazes me how dumb you Brits actually act while trying to talk down to us.
@TheLaikYobaz This is the single dumbest thing from a citizen of a nation that’s about to get cooked by the US in the group stage. Alerting the audience that a team is down to 10 is not them explaining the rule. It’s showing context so if you turn it on you are aware of the information.
@robstaton@mookiealexander Dude, soccer is an after thought sport in the US. Our elite athletes use it for footwork drills. Most NBA and NFL players incorporate soccer drills in their training. In fact, they tested this theory when a college basketball team went out and waxed a college soccer team.
@robstaton@mookiealexander Okay, how about Kobe Bryant? He almost chose Soccer over basketball and was widely regarded for his skills on the field as a youth, but elected to go to Basketball.
@robstaton@mookiealexander Dude, there’s a solid portion of pro athletes that were capable of playing multiple professional sports and opted for one over the other. I’m talking, these athletes were drafted into different leagues. Some even played pro for multiple sports. Jordan, Jackson, Sanders, etc.
