Today's immunologist was FASCINATED with my case and is friends with most of my UTSW specialists. She ordered an assload of tests and is going to call some colleagues. I hope to God something useful comes out of this. Just glad to ve believed for once & to see a motivated doctor.

Jaw specialist says early phase TMJ with no major bone problems. Just very minor bone loss common for my age. The joint disc and muscles are pretty trashed though. Getting meds, an orthodontic appliance, and possibly injections next week.

They said 95% chance of full recovery. The 5% chance of failure is just because of my other problems. Weirdly my orofacial pain specialist was familiar with tick borne illnesses and said I need to get rechecked for bartonella. Said a few other patients had similar problems.
