BREAKING: Trumper Matt Gaetz is hit with devastating news as reporters reveal that the House Ethics Committee just reopened its investigation into the allegations that Gaetz “had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and paid her to travel with him.”

But it gets worse for Gaetz…

The committee will investigate whether Gaetz “engaged in sexual misconduct and/or illicit drug use, shared inappropriate images or videos on the House floor, misused state identification records, converted campaign funds to personal use, and/or accepted a bribe, improper gratuity, or impermissible gift, in violation of House Rules, laws, or other standards of conduct."

The Ethics Committee hasn’t decided yet whether it will launch a special investigative subcommittee to escalate the investigation — but it says that, if it does, the committee will announce it to the public and make the results of the investigation public.

The investigation into Gaetz’ child sex-trafficking had stalled — but this Congressional investigation might be EXACTLY what is needed to jumpstart it again.

BREAKING: New York Times drops Saturday bombshell on Trump, reveals that Special Counsel Jack Smith just obtained “detailed voice recordings” made by Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran that incriminate Trump in his theft of top secret documents.

But it gets WAY worse for Trump…

The New York Times reports that the audio recordings “recounted in detail a nearly monthlong period of the documents investigation” — and are so devastating for Trump that they “have angered and unnerved close aides to Mr. Trump who are worried they contain direct quotes from sensitive conversations” that can land Trump in prison.

The report continues, revealing that, “Mr. Corcoran’s narration of his recollections covered his initial meeting with Mr. Trump in May last year to discuss a subpoena from the Justice Department seeking the return of all classified materials in the former president’s possession. It also encompassed a search that Mr. Corcoran undertook last June in response to the subpoena for any relevant records being kept at Mar-a-Lago. He carried out the search in preparation for a visit by prosecutors, who were on their way to enforce the subpoena and collect any sensitive material found remaining there.

Mr. Corcoran’s devastating notes will likely play a central role as Jack Smith and his team move toward concluding their investigation and turn to the question of whether to bring charges against Mr. Trump. They could also show up as evidence in a courtroom if a Trump is criminally charged and the case goes to trial.

In an early scene in his account, Mr. Corcoran describes meeting Mr. Trump at Mar-a-Lago last spring to help him handle a subpoena that had just been issued by a federal grand jury seeking the return of all classified material in Trump’s possession.

Trump asked Mr. Corcoran if he had to comply with the subpoena. Mr. Corcoran told him that he did.

According to the New York Times, “That exchange could be useful to prosecutors as they collect evidence on whether Mr. Trump sought to obstruct the subpoena process and interfere with the government’s broader efforts to retrieve all of the sensitive records that he took with him from the White House.”

BREAKING: Donald Trump’s legal problems go from bad to worse as a former U.S. Army prosecutor reveals that the new “huge” development in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation against him is “evidentiary gold” that will put Trump behind bars for a LONG time.

This morning, while discussing the investigation into Trump’s theft of highly classified, top secret documents, the former Army prosecutor declared:

“I have tried wiretap cases in the federal courthouse three blocks away, RICO cases, in fact. When you can present to the jury the crime being committed, or being discussed by the very person on trial who's sitting across the courtroom from the jury, it's evidentiary gold, and most importantly, when you can take two audio recordings, or two videos, one with Donald Trump saying 'I declassified everything with my mind' or 'it was automatically declassified when I took it with me from the White House,' and you can immediately thereafter play an audio recording of him six months after leaving the presidency saying, 'I'd like to show this to you, but it's classified,' jurors get the point.

He continued, “It might feel good that Donald Trump in the moment, saying these things on faux news networks or in town halls but, boy, once prosecutors can surgically present this stuff to a jury, it's going to be like shooting fish in a barrel.”

BREAKING: MAGA Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is slammed with a lawsuit from a coalition of Arkansas book enthusiasts furious over her deranged new law that threatens librarians with jail time if they help minors get ahold of banned books.

The lawsuit correctly states that the GOP law is a blatant violation of 1st and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

As usual, we see that conservatives only really care about defending "free speech" when it's hate speech they agree with. Actual free speech — as in books that right-wingers find offensive — is something that Republicans are working tirelessly to destroy.

The pro-ignorance, anti-learning law will “subject librarians and booksellers to criminal charges if they provide 'harmful' materials to minors" if the law goes into effect on August 1st.

The Arkansas Library Association and the Central Arkansas Library System are two of the central organizations involved with the lawsuit and should be commended for taking a stand.

“Library workers across Arkansas are rightly concerned that the overly broad edicts of Act 372 will prevent them from serving their patrons as they have always done, by providing a wide variety of materials to fill their information needs, and perhaps more importantly, materials that allow each child to see themselves in the books in their library,” said Arkansas Library Association President Carol Coffey.

BREAKING: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries proves that Democrats are the only political adults in America by vowing to provide the votes necessary to raise the debt ceiling — an absolutely crucial measure that will avoid a historic global financial apocalypse.

“House Democrats will make sure that the country does not default,” Jeffries promised.

“It is my expectation that House Republicans will keep their commitment to produce at least two-thirds of their conference, which is approximately 150 votes,” he added. “Democrats are committed to making sure that we do our part and avoid a default.

Meanwhile, GOP Speaker Kevin McCarthy is struggling to keep his own fascist caucus in line as the most far-right Republicans balk at passing the bill — with some going as far as to suggest that McCarthy should be ousted for suggesting the deal.

It cannot be denied at this point: Republicans cannot govern.
