to sm rookies era fans, please stop spreading rumors about shohei's debut. there is no truth to the conspiracy about "SM didn't want him in R*IZE/W1SH so they faked his injury". he was announced to not be debuting in NCT new team due to his back by SM themselves and they've continued to support him ever since. if you have kept up with him all this time, you'd know how serious his injury was and why he wouldn't be able to do the typical boy group choreography anymore. shohei fans are eternally thankful that SM didn't abandon him and gave him another opportunity to achieve his dream.

speaking of that, i've also seen comments i can only take as insulting about MYTRO, saying they're "a nugu group", "he's forced to do trot", "why is he doing this instead of regular kpop", etc. given these comments are few and far between, but they still bother me greatly.

firstly, trot music is infinitely more popular in korea than pop so if anything, he will be more successful than he would have elsewhere. "Bomb Bomb Bomb" is already going viral on social media as well. second, if he didn't want to be in MYTRO, he wouldn't have agreed to it. he's put in a lot of work to learn to sing a new style (in his second language too!!) and it's belittling to him and the other members to try and imply he is unhappy and only doing this out of some sort of necessity or as a last resort.

shohei has expressed his gratefulness to the members and fans for supporting him through everything til now and those of us who have been waiting for his official debut since 2022 are more than pleased with his current plans. don't spread negativity just because he didn't debut with your bias or you're unfamiliar with the trot genre.

let's keep supporting shohei with warm hearts, thank you. 👍
