This is an extreme government overreach to ban debris burning year round. In western WA it rains 8 months a year and there is minimal impact in those months, be sure to make your opinion heard
PSCAA is proposing to prohibit residential yard waste burning, including leaves, clippings, and prunings. Three online workshops are available for you to share your input. https://t.co/0eFCXity4J
@GrindstoneSEO@HotshotWake Ya, in a lot of ways, it did a lot of good! Burnt up the grass and burnt you get sage early before it would have gone ballistic (ROS wise) in July!
Based on state law, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is proposing to prohibit residential yard waste burning, including leaves, clippings, and prunings. If you currently burn yard waste, this change would affect you. Attend a pre-rulemaking workshop https://t.co/0eFCXity4J
@HotshotWake Word is getting a little containment after the biggest air assault for a WA fire in 2026, plan is to keep it as a local ICT3 no team, mainly on fed ground some WA DNR, DFW state land. Despite some green up showing it moved pretty good - would have been 20k acres easy in July
New #wawildfire , #Butte/chestnut fire near Chelan is proving difficult to suppress due to terrain and windy conditions. AA, LATs and 2 helicopters assigned with various ground resources including Entiat IHC, fire size reported 20+ acres, I’d guess closer to 150ac now

Seattle sold itself as World Cup-ready. The hotel industry just called it a "non-event" six weeks out. Eighty percent of hotels report bookings below a normal summer. Tourists are going to Miami and Atlanta, instead. Does this truly surprise you?

Hawaii conservation officers are investigating after a man from Seattle allegedly threw a rock at a Hawaiian monk seal off Maui.
The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources said its Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement, known as DOCARE, responded Monday to reports of monk seal harassment near Lahaina after social media posts appeared to show a man throwing a rock toward a seal in the water.
The raw video, provided to KOMO News by the original witness, shows the man appear to pick up a large rock off the beach and hurl it at the seal, landing near or on the animal's head and causing it to rear out of the water.
According to the department, an officer contacted a 37-year-old man from Seattle who matched the description provided by a witness. Authorities said the man was detained, identified, and informed of his legal rights before requesting an attorney and declining to make a statement.
The state said the investigation will be referred to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Law Enforcement because Hawaiian monk seals are protected under the federal Marine Mammal Protection Act. The man has not been charged, and officials did not release his identity.
