Building my video editing portfolio.
Took an older video from a fitness creator I really like and tried improving retention with simple changes.
Creator: Austin Cole - YouTube
Focused on better framing (face + captions placement), tightened the pacing (30sec --> 24sec), added relevant B-roll for more context.
Kept it minimal - no fancy effects, just making the video clearer and more engaging.
Main goal here was to get more value out of the same footage with shorter length and small edits.
Let me know what you think.

Day 4 of asking @TeamYouTube@nealmohan:
When will YouTube acknowledge that May 15, 2026 has already passed?
YouTube Studio said I could reapply for Advanced Features after May 15. It’s now May 23, and the reapply option is still missing across desktop, mobile, browsers, and even after signing out/in.
This is not about waiting 30 days. The waiting period has already passed - it has been 38 days, and everything still looks the same as if the 30 days were never completed.
Whenever I post about this, I either get no response, or I get the same generic “wait 30 days” reply. But it has been 38 days. The reapply option is still missing!
Please check if my channel is stuck in an account-level bug.

It’s now May 22, and the reapply option is still missing across desktop, mobile, browsers, and even after signing out/in.
This is not about waiting 30 days. The waiting period has already passed - it has been 37 days, and everything still looks the same as if the 30 days were never completed.
Whenever I post about this, I either get no response, or I get the same generic “wait 30 days” reply.
But it has been 37 days. The reapply option is still missing!

Day 2 of asking @TeamYouTube:
When is May 15, 2026 actually coming?
YouTube Studio said I could reapply for Advanced Features after May 15.
It’s now May 19.... 34 days later.... and I still don’t see any reapply option!
Same issue across desktop, mobile, browsers, and after signing out/in.
Can someone actually check if my channel is stuck in a bug ?
Please don’t repeat the “wait 30 days / sign out / try another device” template - the waiting period has already passed and the issue is still the missing reapply option.
I need someone to actually check whether my channel is stuck in an account-level bug.
@TeamYouTube Please don’t send the same generic 30-day response again. I need help checking whether my channel is stuck in a bug or account-level restriction.
Hi @TeamYouTube, Advanced Features still aren’t enabled even after 34 days.
YouTube Studio said I could reapply after May 15. It’s now May 19, but I still don’t see any reapply button or option.
This is the same across desktop, mobile, different browsers, and even after signing out and back in.
Can you check if my channel is stuck in a bug or account-level restriction?
Yes! They rejected the live video verification of my own face. I appealed it, and they rejected that too. Then they told me to wait 30 days.
Now it has been 34 days, and I still don’t even see an option to reapply.
When I contact them, they either ignore the actual issue or send generic templated replies that keep me stuck in the same loop instead of actually helping.
Hi @TeamYouTube, my Advanced Features video verification and appeal were rejected earlier.
It said I could reapply after May 15, but it’s now May 19 and I still don’t see the reapply/access button in YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility.
Can you check if this is a bug or account restriction?
I thought this was already simple enough, but the creator wanted it even simpler.
Lesson: we sometimes overestimate how much editing is actually needed.
For some creators, the best edit isn’t the flashiest one, it’s the one that keeps their content raw, authentic, and easier to watch.
