I guess @miriam_cates has no choice but to block replies. Being in the TRA's firing line can't be easy. I'm not certain I agree with this one so much though. Of that £100bn, a significant portion does make it back into the economy, noone is buying yachts with it.

Half of this debt will never be repaid. That means £100bn taxpayer subsidy to universities, which ‘benefits’ just half of young people. The less useful the degree, the lower the graduate’s earning potential, the less money is repaid & so the greater the subsidy. Value for money?
