Data centers are swallowing the heavy equipment supply. Excavators, loaders, dozers, the machines ranchers use for land work and improvement are getting routed to server farm pads before they ever reach a farm lot.

Sterling and Harrison Kothmann run Big Country Equipment in West Texas. On the Wealthy Cowboy Show, they spelled it out. Inventory is thin across all manufacturers. Data center construction is taking so much big iron that the supply pipeline is squeezed from both ends.

Ag markets are soft. Ranchers and farmers are already pulling back on capital. Then the machines they would buy get diverted to tech builds instead.

The Kothmanns are family-owned. They pick up the phone. The big dealers let it ring. When your equipment is down and you have a season on the line, that relationship is the difference between operating and sitting.

Input costs squeeze from every direction. I lock mine early and sell direct. That gap is the only margin that holds.

Egg prices tripled and the biggest egg producer in America made ten times the profit while it happened.

Cal-Maine Foods controls more eggs than anyone in the country. When avian flu hit, they lost almost nothing. Their flocks stayed healthy. But they charged like everyone else's died.

USDA economists said the prices were higher than the supply situation justified. New egg producers tried to enter the market. They couldn't. Four companies lock down grocery shelves and freeze out competition.

That's just eggs. Four companies control 85% of beef packing. Same pattern. Walmart, Kroger, Costco, Albertsons decide what goes on your shelf and what doesn't.

You walk down an aisle and think you've got choices. You've got aisles. The brands are owned by the same handful of corporations. PepsiCo. Coca-Cola. Kraft Heinz. General Mills. Nestle. They own the shelf, the price, and the supply.
